In St.John's people are still installing electric heaters under their sidewalks, $10 a month! Seems to me to be part of the same problem but what do I know? On the other hand, the hydro utility claims to be thinking about a wind project that would answer all power needs of the province; starting with a 25 megawatt trial. Who knows? I can't find the article on-line anywhere but I read it today in The Independent hard-copy edition. Sounds too good to be true eh? Rule of thumb ... probably is!
